I think I would've got it if eram said PC-forward. Putting PC and console together was too much for me while I was bereaving the loss of Ms Tina Turner.
Rest in peace Tina Turner
I've stopped caring about successful old celebrities dying. We have children dying en masse in international conflicts which shouldn't even exist every single day, who never got their chance at life, and who will never get so much as a footnote in human memory.
Meanwhile, someone who yeah, had a great artistic career and all, but lived an extremely comfortable and long life in comparison... and the whole of the internet is "waaah, how terrible!"
I just cannot see it as anything other than further indication of our species' twisted perspective and priorities.
I never know anything about celebrities lol
My bad on that I guess, but still the point as a whole stands.
R.I.P
Tina was a buddhist
1. “Tibetan Dying Prayer”
Through your blessing, grace, and guidance, through the power of the light that streams from you:
May all my negative karma, destructive emotions, obscurations, and blockages be purified and removed,
May I know myself forgiven for all the harm I may have thought and done,
May I accomplish this profound practice of phowa, and die a good and peaceful death,
And through the triumph of my death, may I be able to benefit all other beings, living or dead.
This is perhaps one of the best known Buddhist prayers. It can be found in The Tibetan Book of the Dead. This text details the experiences the consciousness goes through during the time between death and rebirth.
Tina had good songs though. And I remember good times listening to those songs.
Welcome to Thunderdome! Who run Bartertown?
Doyle Brunson, a poker great, just died. I don't like to see the greats go.
It's not like I'm wearing black or anything... Actually, I am. But no connection.
When my mother passes away am I supposed to forgo any kind of memorial because every day countless people who had a harder life than her also died?
No, I mean on a personal level people should mourn whomever hits them the hardest. Obviously everyone should mourn their parents (I guess unless they're total pieces of ♥♥♥♥).
It's less the fact of anyone here reacting about it and more that huge numbers of society from across the world will come out for a public figure, but not for anything else. I would bet that easily most of those people are against all the wars and conflicts and trafficking and other ♥♥♥♥♥♥ things going on. But they'll never give those issues as much attention as 'dead celebrity.'
Acid Queen from Tommy, one of my favourite movies she was in
Third would be Rocky Horror Picture Show
She was one of the three top faves I had that I truly loved and cherished, listened to her music since I was 8, and was dancing to it.
Absolutely devastated cause of this, her and Michael Jackson will live on forever in my heart.
That is what a bunch of the songs were about:

But we still miss her. She was from a generation that in many ways was just straight superior.
