The Japanese language just sounds so fun. Of course, I'm judging this by anime and vidja, but I love the way they emphasize stuff with intensity rather than repetition, diction or inflection.

Like, in English, if I don't like you, I might call you a meanie. If I really don't like you, I might call you a bastard. If I really REALLY don't like you, I might call you a stinky moron loser bastard. Maybe with an !

But in Japanese, if I don't like you, I call you a meanie. Or whatever the equivalent word is. And if I really don't like you, you're a MEANIE!!! And if I really REALLY don't like you, you're a MEEEEEEEEANIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE!!!!!!!!!!

I study Chinese and Japanese and I would say it takes a lot of time to learn the Asian languages. If you really wanna make yourself suffer then learn Thai. Haha.

Be exposed to a languages often enough and you should pick on things sooner or later, assuming you know the basics already or learn them still a bit, Japanese does sounds tough tho so a more active learning would be appreciated.
