New Type Of Scam. (Give It a read) A reason no one talks about

It happened with me and I made discussion post about it.

The way I got scammed wasn't by using my API key.
I downloaded pirated software from long trusted cracker and it was the reason why it happened.

In my case it was Hogwarts Legacy (EMPRESS CRACK) YES!! empress, that homophobic person who is kinda trusted and was recently banned from reddit

It had a virus which put malware in my browser (CHROME). If your steam was logged in there then that's how they created sell orders.

You wouldn't be suspicious of crack cause in info crackers always ask you to turn your firewall off cause how the crack works and drm.

Later I use Malwarebytes to clean my system. And even Hard Reset my system.

My other accounts must also be hijacked like my genshin acc was and twitter too
they even tried hijacking my facebook and play ads on it.

I've stopped piracy since then and now buy game from steam.

The fact you trust a pirate at all says alot here.
Even Skidrow of all people says that she's not a trustworthy person and that anyone who trusts her is asking to be hacked, hijacked, pirated or even frauded.

I work in IT Security and would strongly suggest avoiding those...

It was back in February 2021, Empress had stated that she would soon be arrested after being "caught red handed" working on the crack for Immortals Fenyx Rising. Empress blamed FitGirl Repacks, with whom she had a feud. She was actually doxxed with her real home address and reported to the police by another cracker. Empress claimed Fitgirl was trans and said a bunch of transphobic stuff about her.

The new Empress is actually extremely racist, homophobic and transphobic raging rant Karen princess, due to that but very odd that she's still cracking games today when everything is known about the real person. Someone else posing or living off the grid now? Why would you keep cracking software and giving it away for free if you couldn't even legally have a job or home yourself without being arrested?

she is actively working again. Or maybe its someone impersonating her. Either way ima stay miles away from any thing pirated

Well yeah... Fitgirl was originally the repacker for Empress, till Empress threw a fit over repackers 2 years ago (around the start of 2021). So whoever the new repackers are could be anyone and inject malware accordingly, if not coming from herself.

Empress had even stated she was waiting for her lawyer to accompany her to the police station. So probably not even the same person anymore?

Offenders could pay fines of up to $150,000 and spend five years in prison (maximum of 10 years). It hasn't even been 5 years yet.

The only thing similar is the transphobic ranting which makes sense as an excuse / blame game, yet that would likely mean she actually was arrested and all that's valid.

any one of those guys could flip at any time and decide to put on the black hat if they felt like it.
