Absolutely, anime is such a good source of entertainment since it shows a lot more creativity than what we have in real life. It also shows more emotion and gives interesting ideas on how the human mind can work that real life often does not. If more people would watch anime and learn from it we could become a much better and more understanding world.

Bit of a silly inquiry. Certainly not. I see anime as no different than live-action, cartoons, etc. While there are quite a few I enjoy, it’s just a medium to tell a story, and like any medium, there is a great deal of dirt and only a few golden nuggets. There is tons of awful anime out there- usually harems, isekais, shonen, etc. At the end of the day, it comes down to the story. A great story is a great story no matter what, but sometimes it is greatly enhanced by anime, and the liberties given to 2d. Animation is often like a form of hyper-reality, where things can be more beautiful or expansive than in real life. I love that anime can bring us more stories from across the sea in an often lovely art form, but is the best thing ever or the best medium for all stories- no.

I have said it before but my favorites at this time are: Violet Evergarden, Your Name, Little Witch Academia, and Yuru Camp.
