just like straight, neurotypical, allistic, cisgender, and other such terms
Sure, sexuality can be a spectrum in the sense it can be possible to be more or less attracted to a certain sex (ex. a bisexual who is more attracted to same-sex) but when someone lives in a period of singleness and has had no attraction for some time, that does not mean they are suddenly not capable of being attracted to anyone on any level.
