What's the deal with astrology anyway
Stars don't even move; shouldn't they read the same every day? And why does the month you're born make any difference for anything?

Because we try to find patterns and meaning in everything - especially stars.
Idk, ask the Ancient Greeks or something.
Because people like blaming literally anything else for their own faults. They prefer the belief that they're "supposed" to be this way, and that it can't POSSIBLY be the result of them growing up as an *sshole who never got put in their place. SOMETHING has to be the root cause of it all. Anything.

Even stars, apparently.

The position of Uranus tells me that this is gonna be fun.
Well it's data points. Data points don't necessarily have to be highly reliable to be useful.

My understanding, and this comes from taking Astronomy from a NASA Scientist, is that historically, it was considered scientific, but Astronomers found it couldn't work scientifically due to the Earth's precession (wobble). In other words, if ever it was accurate, it no longer could be after so many years passing.
Well as a gemini I'm naturally skeptical of this sort of thing too.

It said In my horoscope that you'd ask this question.

Anyway I off to burn some incense, rub my healing crystals and consult my spirit animal which happens to be a tiger.
Stars actually constantly move, they never ever been in the same place, the same goes for our planet this is basic astrology
Galaxy s are moving and spinning and galaxy's are just a ton of stars so stars always move

Yes yes

But go back in time a year and take a picture of the sky, and compare it to today, and tell me what looks different.
i havent been outside earth,my observation towards stars usually effected by earth spinning on itself.and my poor sight.

The stars used to be the Google search of the times. Don’t be snobby.
That actually makes perfect sense.

That's why it had to be a full time job

Because they'd read the stars looking for "will the volcano erupt tomorrow" and get

Will the Volcano erupt tomorrow?

I remember growing up in the foothills of the Himalayas, where the grass was green and the (...) mother was killed by a yeti, and my father vowed (...) made the finest porcelain in the region. In fact, the so-called silk road (...)
most stars are moving, they're just moving away from us because we stink, so their positions don't appear to change too much (except for over timescales like a couple thousand years)

i think they have the right idea imo, but it also means we'll never get to hang out with 95% of them ):
As Ancient as the Cosmos 😍
(Besides what has been pointed out regarding the movement of galaxies, etc... everything in space is moving)

The position of stars in the night sky actually does change as Earth moves about both its orbit and its rotation.

Watch the stars from dusk until dawn and you'll see their positions shift throughout the night (or see the link below) due to the earth's rotation. Additionally, the relative positions of constellations/what constellations are visible also change from month-to-month/season-to-season based upon Earth's position in its orbit around the sun.
-------
The link is a 360 time-lapse of the night sky shot from a guy's roof in California on a clear night. Pick a spot and you'll see everything moving across the 101 second time-lapse (I'd personally suggest shifting the view to the right).

Post Script: Astrology is, of course, BS regardless.
