Bible banned from Utah school shelves for being harmful to children
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/utah-parent-upset-book-bans-gets-bible-pulled-school-shelves-expose-ba-rcna87450

"A 2022 Utah law that made it easier to remove offensive content from schools. The legislation was supported by conservative activist groups, including Utah Parents United."

Because of the atrocities mentioned and highlighted in the Bible and because of the complaint from the parent, it was removed from school shelves.

Thoughts? What people (especially conservatives who support such laws) say about this?

Thats Church of Atom territory...(Fallout 3)
Cultists that worship an unexploded nuke sitting in their town.

Weird, I own 3 but only played it for like 1/2 hour.
It's a solid game, it was the first Fallout I played, was a very good introduction to the series for me.

Its in the first town after leaving the vault.
Ah Megaton, I never could bring myself to detonate it.

You only do that if you are doing an evil playthrough.

True but I really like Tenpenny Tower, so it's a toss-up. Do I wanna be evil and have one of the bestter player houses, or do I wanna keep the town saved and have it infested with ghouls.

I never even made it to the first settlement. When I finally left the vault, instead of going straight I took a left and followed the road to a school. I went into that school and discovered that I was in a place that I should not have been in. I also discovered that to get out I needed to fight a mini boss that could one-shot me.

Then to make matters worse I discovered that the only save I had was a recent save with me deep in the school. So I would have to start over.

It's one of the few times I rage-quit a game. Uninstalled and never played it again.

Wasn't scientology spoofed in Fallout 4?
I seem to remember reading about scientologist complaining about that then playing one of the DLC's to see it for myself.

Maybe I am thinking of a different game, idk.
Hubology, yeah it's a little wink and a nod to Scientology. Talks about the "Star Father" and whatnot in the DLC

I think this is it. Fair ground rides as space ships?

Ghouls aren't evil, smoothskin.
...well the big ones with weapons are, the rest were unfortunate regular humans that caught a very tiny amount of severe radiation.

I'm aware, that's why I said evil playthrough or side with ghouls. :P

You missed the point completely. This is a resistance movement to push back against all the book banning going on around the country by the anti-woke people. They do not really want to ban the bible. They want to get rid of all book banning by using the nonsense rules against them.
it still works against Bible. Children will think that Bible is harmful rather than a life saving guide. And this will make them to have second thoughts about Jesus Christ as well, instead of pondering "it is a resistant movement against anti-woke".
it is pretty harmful i'd say

IIRC one state's trying to replace school counselors with religious icons like youth pastors. So yes, they're trying to push for more Christianity in schools.

It's the same crowd that got butthurt when we stopped doing the pledge of allegiance, citing it was "war on Christianity."
Sounds like a good way to get one's state's public schools cut off from Federal funding.

But private schools can do whatever they want.
Hahahaha, this is genius!

I fell off my couch laughing my ass off when I heard about kids petitioning their Boards of Education to ban bibles in their school libraries for "lewdness, vulgarity, and violence"... LOL

The only part of me that is a little bit saddened, is the part that recognizes that these book-banning-bigots aren't actually very good "Christians"... they aren't welcome in churches any more than they are welcome in schools, or their own families.

In the end, it's pretty awesome, and exactly the way to make the book-burners stfu.

They would probably say they are better off without federal funding as it would open up more opportunities without federal law/regulations in their schools.
Serves them well if they are so trigger happy on banning books. HA.

I feel the same way about a lot of conservative politicians who say the most un-Christian things... especially Trump. Yet some Christians will still support them forever.
