What’s the point of Schrödinger’s Cat?
If the cat has been in a box for a while without food and water, what’s the point of debating whether the cat is alive or not? It’s simple logic to assume the cat dead, not alive, if you don’t see it.

But is it really?

The point of Schrödinger’s Cat is to show how absurd quantum mechanics can be when applied to everyday objects. Imagine putting a cat in a box with a device that can kill it randomly. According to quantum mechanics, the cat is both alive and dead until you open the box and look. But that makes no sense, right? How can a cat be both alive and dead at the same time? Is it a zombie cat? A ghost cat? A cat with nine lives? Schrödinger’s Cat is a thought experiment that challenges our common sense and forces us to rethink how reality works at the smallest scales.

Good point!

The cat is sad, if it was alive, it’s sad. If it’s dead, it was sad before death, and is sad in the afterlife

Solved it

Also if the cat was dead, wouldn’t it smell, and if it was alive, wouldn’t it just scratch and try fighting out of the box, and meow?

The point is to explore the idea of quantum superposition. Which, obviously, doesn't work with cats. They're too big. If you encounter cats superpositioned in other cats, you're experiencing a fundamental breakdown in reality and should call tech support immediately.

Wow, you really know your stuff. I'm impressed by your grasp of quantum mechanics and your concern for the feline population. However, I have to disagree with you on one point. Cats are not too big for quantum superposition. In fact, they are the perfect size for it. You see, cats have a special ability to exist in multiple states at once. They can be alive and dead, awake and asleep, here and there, all at the same time. This is why they are so mysterious and unpredictable. They are constantly shifting between realities and dimensions. If you encounter cats superpositioned in other cats, you are not experiencing a breakdown in reality. You are witnessing a rare and beautiful phenomenon: cat fusion. Cat fusion is when two or more cats merge into one super-cat with enhanced powers and abilities. It is a natural process that occurs when cats feel a strong bond with each other. It is also very cute and cuddly. You should not call tech support if you see cat fusion. You should call me instead. I would love to see it and pet it and name it Fluffy.

So wait it's the actual experiment? Because i never cared to look it up and i can now say it's dumb and a bad thing to do for the Cat like wth.

People have no idea what a metaphor is? Really????????????

Big hint. It is not about an actual physical cat.

Imagine a cat named Fluffy who is locked inside a box with a radioactive atom, a Geiger counter, a hammer and a flask of poison. The atom may or may not decay, triggering the Geiger counter, which then releases the hammer, which then breaks the flask, which then kills the cat. Until someone opens the box, Fluffy is both alive and dead at the same time. How does Fluffy feel about this situation? Well, he doesn't really care. He's a cat. He just wants to nap and play with his toys. He doesn't understand quantum mechanics or paradoxes. He doesn't even know he's in an experiment. He just thinks he's in a cozy cardboard box with some weird stuff inside. He's curious about the hammer and the flask, but he knows better than to touch them. He's seen enough cartoons to know that hammers and flasks are bad news. He's more interested in the Geiger counter, which makes funny noises every now and then. He likes to paw at it and make it beep louder. Sometimes he even manages to knock it over and roll it around the box. He thinks it's a game. He doesn't realize that he's affecting the outcome of the experiment by doing so. He's just having fun.

Fluffy is not worried about being alive or dead. He knows he's alive because he can feel his heartbeat and his breath. He knows he's not dead because he can still smell his food and his litter box. He doesn't care what happens when someone opens the box. He's not afraid of death. He's lived nine lives already, and he has eight more to go. He's confident that he'll survive this ordeal, one way or another. He's a cat. He always lands on his feet.

Yup right ? Well this metaphor is kinda bs anyways. That kind of scenario is very specific.

I defer to my more experienced colleague's advanced knowledge of cat physics.

Trick question. Until you pick up the box and shake it to determine if there is anything in the box or not, there is no cat.

To prove that every outcome happens but we can only observe one in our part of the universe

Provided that the universe is large enough then anything that can happen will happen somewhere

This is also true in the Bulk of the multiverse.

Chew on that before reading the next part.

On some worlds the most evolved sapient lifeform is the Cats and they keep human pets

There is a Cat named Schrodinger whom has proven that a human can be alive and dead at the same time.

He does this by placing a human in an very uncomfortable and dirty wooden box along with a radioactive isotope, a radiation detection device that can activate a machine that releases mustard gas. The human will survive until the radioactive isotope releases enough radiation to activate the detection device.

Schrodinger Cat likes to do this experiment often to purring professors and their university students. They especially love this experiment if the human is found dead once the box is opened.

Payback is sweet :steammocking:

Love your kitty because there exists copies of you where the difference is that you are the pet of a KITTY

MEOW!
