first things I pulled from google with " home remedies for cat fleas for carpets etc "
Just double check what's acceptable ie non-toxic to cats, apparently rosemary is ok
I know that finely ground salt on carpets can kill flea larvae, but obviously you don't want salt on your cats delicate paws or them ingesting it.
Also, don't let your cat outside. This will just happen when they're outside. I had a cat that would run outside and every time they got out they'd bring in fleas every time and spread it to the others.
Then wash your cat's bedding and vacuum the area.
Shave your cat.
Should be available behind the counter of any pet store. Same deal for dogs. Depending on what you get, it should last 1, 3 or 6 months. However, you only really need it during the summer period.
Flea populations will slow down a bit during winter, especially outdoors, but they don't go away completely. So you still need control but not as badly.
Make sure to check the cat's weight to get the correct dosage amount. They will be labelled for certain weight ranges.
