Can you believe some people don't like crafting systems in every game?
I like crafting crafty crafts, don't you?

crafting is only good if it have a real purpose and make the game interesting, lot of games (far cry as example) have a completely useless crafting system which if you use or not do not change the game at all
Not really. I prefer simple games, I don't really find fun in remembering recipes or spending most of my playtime grinding for multiples of the same thing.

Sometimes it doesn't feel good either, megaman zero 4 has a crafting system and it's garbage. I never use armor upgrades in that game as a result of not wanting to deal with crafting in a damn 2d platformer.

Either give me the item entirely or don't give it to me at all.
Depends on the crafting system. For a game, it needs to be reasonably simplified and automated compared to real-life actions. Do too much of it, and your crafting system becomes a pointless chore; do too few of it, and the game becomes the crafting system.
Games should aim for believability over realism, and intuitiveness over simplification.

Yeah, the Zero games got a little distracted by that kind of thing. Whether it was shooting X times to level up your buster in the first game, or doing specific arbitrary stuff to unlock the forms in 2/3, or farming drops in 4, it just wasn't all that fun.

Fortunately, the games are perfectly playable without doing all that. But the completionist in me really wanted to do and collect everything, lol.

Don't like it when crafting is the only way to get high end item and gear.

How can warriors/heroes who spend most of their rime adventuring do a better job than blacksmith that spend their lifetime forging?
i play a lot of survival crafters and honestly i don't like it.

but i do like building a base/house/shelter more than anything.

Crafting is generally rubbish; it basically replaces a general currency like "gold" with a whole slew of currencies called "materials", forcing you to constantly look up drop tables to find out where to get them.

EDIT: things get even worse if the game has a limited inventory, so you can't just keep all the dog eyes, wolf tails, cat teeth, rabbit ears etc. that you pick up all the time until you need them.

I guess it's not for everyone, but I kinda like this. If you could just kill the same enemy over and over for everythingbucks, you'd have no incentive to explore the game.
Not hard to believe, I'm one of them.
I like them in survival games, but titles like Far Cry, which combine crafting and trading are a nuisance to me. Primal is the only one, where it truly belonged.
