Do you think space travel is still possible?
I still have hope, but given our national issues and lack of interest in colonizing planets, it’s not going to happen any time soon.

By NASA yes. Elon musk hell no.
NASA can't even remember how to get back to the moon...

it's still very possible yes, just needs the world to start filling with black smog in the cities where politicians live and suddenly space travel will be pushed for again
maybe sort out this planet first before ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up another

True lol
Human space travel? Inside our solar system? Possible.
I think we need a different kind of fuel if we still want to go above the atmosphere.
I wish I could help but unfortunately despite chemistry being one of the subjects in which I excelled at I am not a chemist today. :/
They've sent an astronaut into space driving a sports car. Sure it is. :steammocking:

Indeed! XD
Don't know we still have to make other planets like Mars habitable.

We would most likely be living in this system for a long time. When you think about it everything moves in the universe incredibly fast. Nothing stays in place and a single flight from system A to system B takes tons of calculations. Calculate the speed, distance and of course what the crew's needs for a certain amount of time. Travel from Earth to Mars is realistic enough for us in the coming future.
It was never possible.

Well, it was always possible; there's just never been a point.

I agree that there wasn’t a point

Yes, it takes rocket science, but we have rocket scientists. We can explore our solar system with current technology.

It's travelling outside our solar system that is sobering. Even if aliens did exist, they can't get here - unless they can survive thousands of years in interstellar space. And that doesn't sound fun. Who would be the skipper of the OT ship?

That also makes me raise another question. Sleeping pods. Are those the same aliens who left their planet or are those their off-springs and the previous generations died and this generation is doing their mission for them?
Which raises another question. Are sleeping pods even possible? Is it possible to slow down biology for a certain set amount of time like in science fiction?
Dang it hurts to be this curious.

Define Space travel, we already have it in a way but as far as I know most research points to the leading forms of Hyperspace, Jump Drives and even Cryosleep being impossible, however they have said that Quantum Leaping and Hyperlane/Trade Lane technology is possible depending on future tests.
