Why do people like undercooked meat?
I was just watching a show with some pretentious food critic eating a burger that was "rare" and this nasty thing is dripping with blood and juice, he even rubbed a bread roll in the blood and ate it that is so nasty and yet these people act like YOU are the crazy one if you want your meat cooked and not dripping in blood and body fluids and swarming with parasites! I'm not gonna be shamed by a "food critic" with the unrefined pallet of a caveman! When someone asks me how I want my burger prepared I'm gonna say WELL DONE! And I don't care how many shocked gasps I hear in the background! I'm right about this.

Right? Like how can you even enjoy tasting that cold raw meat and smelling the blood leaking out of it gross I thought humans had evolved past this when we invented fire?
I'd rather eat raw meat than warmed up semi-raw meat tbh
What is this? The stone age?
Beef can be eaten rare. Rare does not necessarily mean under cooked..
You make it sound like he was eating the cook.
Because rather then admit they can't cook properly, they pretend it's the right way to cook.

But he requested it this way, he wanted it undercooked 🤢
people consume raw meat all over the world.. so if theres a market for raw then theres also one for undercooked
Idk either. I want my meat to be well done, otherwise the bin gets a meal.
Medium Rare Chicken is delicious.
Tartare is a thing. Sushi is a thing. People like raw meat.

I prefer medium rare, but I will always take rare over well done.
I like the taste of blood and I practice mithridatism. That latter part is also why I don't throw out spoiled or moldy food unless I legitimately cannot stomach it.

No not all mold is penicillium, and even if it were that or aspergilium you still technically have to refine it in order to remove the mycotoxins and thus make it safe for consumption by those who don't willingly go out of their way to poison themselves as to build a tolerance to said poisons.

Either way, I don't mind rare meat. If it's undercooked that's when I might have an issue. Doubly so if it's not beef.
Here's the thing; unlike other meats whole cuts of beef, bacterial contamination (such as E. coli) is usually only present on the outside and as long as you sear the surface it should be safe to eat. Beef meat is extremely dense, and bacteria cannot penetrate and infect the meat.

Me personally I don't eat rare beef. I do however eat it medium rare. I'm more of a chicken person.

Well so long as the texture and taste are right I'll eat it. Even if it sickens me.
