How long your game-controller lasts?

All the game-controllers that I bought started giving problems within 2 to 3 years.
I have used official Xbox 360 controller, Logitech F310 and several others.

Is that the average lifespan of a game controller overall? or I'm just unlucky....

This X Series controller by the looks of things has longer battery life than PS5 and Xbox One controllers that I own. It is a direct upgrade from the Xbox One controller so it's nice to use. Excellent for gaming especially platformers.

Quality is definitely worse than it used to be. My Xbox 360 controllers always developed stick drift within a couple of years, but I do own a fluke that is still fine after ten years.

I've had a couple of Dualshock 4 controllers that were replaced under warranty. A cool thing about living in the EU is that the warranty is two years and Amazon will always refund. So buy direct from Amazon (not a marketplace seller) and if it fails within two years, get a refund and buy again, effectively resetting the warranty.

I use a Hori Onyx plus controller with my PS4 and PC and it is still working perfectly after 3 years.

Going on 7 years with my wired 360 controller. I replaced the entire cable some years ago. The rubber on the thumbsticks is starting to wear through so I might replace those one of these days.

I actually used a USB cable from an old mouse I had and soldered it directly to the board.

I had mine for 6 years and it's still working fine. It's an Xbox One Elite Controller. One of the older models but it still works fine. It's a bit scuffed and worn out today but it still works wonders.

I still have an xbox 360 controller with horrible stick drift. I actually employ this in fighting games. Makes me totally unpredictable. I also have a Hori Real Arcade Pro 3, modified it myself. That thing is built like a fortress and now has all Sanwa parts. I don't expect it to be replaced, and the buttons only need replacing in about a decade.

If it's official brand, they typically last me until they wear from use. I've had bad luck with aftermarket stuff over the years on consoles, so I stopped using them.

Headsets on the other hand have a rather short life for me. Except JBLs seem to hold up, so that's what I use.

I don`t use it that often so Logitech F310 lasts quite a while.

On my second Elite Controller series 2. Terrible cheap pads, I have had about 5-6 different elite controllers because the rubber grip peels off

I replace mine every 3 months, they get out of wack for no reason, right now my xbox one controller for windows in the game rdr2, Arthur keeps drawing his pistol for no reason
