Pirate vs Cowboy

Who would win?

Don’t pirates have swords and flintlocks whilst cowboys have those oversized knives, rifles, and revolvers? I think the tech difference is significant.

I don't even think a single pirate could beat a cowboy 1v1 on a boat. Multiple vs. multiple maybe but even then it wasn't common for pirates to know how to do things like swim which is fairly important on a boat.

Cowboys weren't all rootin tootin shootin gunslingers... most were just simple farm hands.

Pirates weren't just sailors... if they were on a pirate ship they were sailors to start and turned mercenaries that attacked other ships and sailors...

I think I've been playing too much Oregon trail and failing to cross rivers. They either learned how to swim or they didn't get here, also wheather you are or aren't just a sailor doesn't stop you from having weird superstitions about how if you go into the water the sea will taste you and want to take you.

Oh all were superstitious back then... I wouldn't doubt it. That and they say Mermaids were probably actually Manatees... so it seems most were nearsighted as well, maybe that's why they did better with swords then guns... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
