Ask a transgender woman anything (part 2)
This is not a debate thread!

It's been a while since the last thread, there have been some major changes, so I felt it's time for a new one.

If you have any questions about transgenderism or what it's like to be transgender you can ask them here! provided they're respectful of course. :vbcool:

Just like last time, I won't respond to bait or insults.

Where trans is concerned, i think you can make a man look like a women, but he will never be a real women, because of DNA and skeleton. If they did a DNA test on a trans women, it would come back as a man, so imo it is a man.
I believe biological sex and gender identity, while intertwined, are separate. My DNA doesn't make a difference in how I feel and express myself.
In America they tend to blur the lines between gender identity and biological sex. For instance in California the same state that locked up medical professionals for not using preferred pronouns, they allow trans-women into female prisons, blurring the line between biological and identity. How do you feel about that?

I think it's causing alot of friction.

Look up "Veronica Bolina" and you'll see why transgender women shouldn't be locked up with men.

If you're suggesting people be locked up by their gender identity we could also lookup GameStop It's Mam. But Erin seems to suggest that the two are considered separate which is very different then how it's viewed in America, if she's being honest about the two being separate.

I know the video.

So? I don't know how the video helps your point.

It's not really a point, I'm simply asking Erin her opinions on the matter, many people will claim that sex/gender identify are viewed as different but they dont' act like it. I suspect I know what Erin will say but I'm open to being wrong and having my mind changed.

I could see the case being made for a separate prison for trans-folk.

You know that women can rape women, right?
maybe prisons shouldn't be a place where you're at high risk of being raped whether by inmates or by guards themselves

Well for the first time in human history "women" are getting other women pregnant in prison. That was the original reason for the question and one of the reasons I'm concerned with this issue. For years I grew up hearing from feminists about how rape culture was a real thing, and now we're seeing the government enact situations that setup the women in prison for failure and it saddens me.

That would require a cell for each inmate, to begin with. Something undoable in many countries.
Thread is still alive. It seems people behave civilized
Snow ☯ lähetti viestin:
Medical professionals can literally go to jail because because they don't agree with trans-folk and that's not a privilege?
I've never heard of that law before, and OT posters tend to take these things way out of context, so I can't be sure if that's even happening.
