Neat. I was wondering when we'd see a proper clash between these two but we only got glimpses of it since 2004. The Ultimate Moves 2014 for instance. Garry is still capable of playing monster chess in his older years but he succumbs to one-move blunders more than ever. I hope he's in top form for this match it should be interesting.

Though I am predicting a Carlsen demolition...

Its a round robin tourny with more top players he will face all 9 others.

Yes Carlsen demolish Garry will probably have no chance. Still everybody will tune in for Greatest All Time Chess player Garry Kasparov.

Of course! He's been playing in St Louis in these events since 2014 and I'm always expecting to see the old Garry demolish, but it never happens. From 2017 onwards it was disappointing. My favorite was probably that first blitz tourney they had in 2016 where Garry played the winners of the US championship. He did great, but he blundered bad against Wesley So. He still beat Nakamura and Caruana in their mini-matches which was cool.
