Its disgusting how random people celebrate the killing in war.

Whenever I watch videos of Russian or Ukrainian body/helmet cams from the trenches in Ukraine, showing very close and clear footage of kills, I see numerous comments where people celebrate and dehumanize the soldiers killed in such footage.

I do have some understanding for such behaviour when someone is from Ukraine and has perhaps lost family and friends in this war as emotions go crazy, but I have no understanding for some people living in the west, never been to war and not having lost anyone, celebrating such kills and dehumanising the people killed by using all kinds of slur.

I don't care if someone is 16 or 61, this is just plain inhumane and makes everything happening even worse. People should try to maintain some humanity.

The people killed in such videos are someones son, father, brother, nephew and not every russian killed in such videos is a dangeorus war criminal, most of these poor fellas are drafted themselves or in there because they were exposed to propaganda, blackmail, extortion or just have no clue what was coming for them.

This is shocking to me because I thought we have somewhat learnt from WW1 and WW2 as well as other wars such as the Vietnam war, Iraq war and Afghanistan conflict. And now ???? Now we are back at celebrating people getting killed and throwing cruel and disgusting slur in the comment section of such videos ? For real ?

What is wrong with people ?

My wife is from Ukraine and I have family there, I hold a lot of anger and frustration as well while some of my family members and friends are right now fighting in the trenches against an invading force, yet I don't remotely feel the need to celebrate young 17 18 years old soldiers getting killed in various ways.

I hope there are still some sane people left who maintained humanity and agree with me.

I just wanted to get this out there.

Nothing new, people in general are ♥♥♥♥ and now they're treating this thing as a spectator sport with one side as clearly the good guys. Except both sides are full youths who were literally grabbed off the street or their homes and forced to fight.

fight War, not wars.
destroy the Power, not people.
go pacifist.

only war should be on pixels, play Command and Conquer, or Starcraft or even cs:go if you want
not actual wars. and that's from someone who had to be drafted to his countrys army otherwise monetary penalty + jail time or service time.

And utterly abominable when world leaders conspire together to kill in wars and proxy-wars and feed the insatiable beast that is the Military–industrial complex.

Unless your on the front line, people tend to act like it is a game of football. It is easier to handle the war that way. If your the poor SOB on the front line, you rarely have time to think one way or another. If you stop for 5 seconds over the issue of morality during the fighting, odds are you or one of your squad mates will be KIA.

i don't have much to lose so i almost hope the war escalates enough that the entire europe gets to experience it me included

for now the war is fun to follow

yeah. i guess they do it because they feel "patriotic" and like to see their country winning the war by killing the opposition.... but they just need to take a minute and realize the opposition is doing the exact same thing that their side is. just fighting for their country
