Do you meow at cats?
Do they meow back at you?
I often do it, and they, most of the time meow back at me

I do that kissy kissy cat call at them, they love me. I might be a dog kinda guy but all animals can sense my gentle spirit.

Awoooo!
Generally, yes, especially if they're in a group: they just crowd me and give me rubs on the hands and legs once I get their attention. :cozycrashfish:
i bark at them and they run away. sometimes i dont even need to bark. small animals tend to run away from me on sight
If I'm home alone, sure. Never get a response except for one cat that's very vocal.

We have good talks.

got two cats, one is on the way out and meows, that type of meow is an upset meow like a cry because a family member passed away about a week and a half a go. a few weeks ago that cat was great, plump, soft strokable cat with a healthy appetite, now she has withered to a bag of bones, can't walk straight and has crap in her eyes. she is on her way out as i said.

the other one is still the same as before though, half insane but very much active and still in a good place.

oh :steamsad: :steamsad:
did you took her to the vet?? i would assume you did. from what you describe here it sounds like she has something.

edit: when one of my now dead cats had this i took her to the vet and she had parasites inside of her intestines (natural occuring though), took pills and she jumped back up.

she is an old cat. i'm surprised she hasn't already passed away. she is about 18-19 years old.
only good thing under the circumstances is that when she does go, she will have died in the same place she was born in and around the same person who witnessed her birth and hopefully her death as well.

Of course, you have to adjust to your interlocutors.

oh she's granny yeah i remember that from another cat thread you had mentioned this.
its just that the immediate transition from being great and with healthy appetite to a bag of bones that can't walk straight and cries which is her way of saying that she's not good that makes me think she might have something.
i hate it when that time comes tbh.
i would definitely visit the vet even if she's granny.

it's not a great month for me all round, and she was my favourite cat as well. i hope it don't last long, assuming i know where she is half the time.
