Do they meow back at you?
I often do it, and they, most of the time meow back at me

it's not a great month for me all round, and she was my favourite cat as well. i hope it don't last long, assuming i know where she is half the time.

yeah i can feel that, sh!tty month and on top of that, this.
i hope she won't be in pain at least mate.

she passed away yesterday. i knew it had been coming for a while. curiously she passed away exactly 10 days after my father passed at 10:17pm as well. poor thing.

i'm gonna have to make a hole in the back and put her in it next to the dogs and a parrot. she was born and died in the same place, i want her buried in this place that was home to her.

Wish i could have been there to see her passing on, that's gonna be a regret of mine forever, i heard noises but i thought it was another cat. i got outside and she passed away a few moments before i got there. i can't wait for August to be behind me.

No. I am not familiar with their native language and if I try to engage them in a conversation about high-stakes geopolitics or macroeconomics, they pointedly ignore my attempts.

I know we raz each other in other posts but no one should have to deal with the loss of a loved animal, I'm sorry friend and I hope she is eating lots of tuna with other cats in cat heaven

Any high pitched noise that you can make with your lips and mouth, the cats will meow to you in different pitches as you do to them and it does not have to be a meow at all...
