The moral of the story is.... don't drive long distance without a good night's sleep before hand and take frequent stops to recoup.
Even though I never falled asleep on a bus or train yet...
Also, people like to think that coffee or energy drinks help. They don't.
Take a short power nap if necessary.
Never again.....
Think this was after seat belt laws came around because he came out pretty well all things considered.
I find coffee helps me in the short time maybe 20 minutes or so. But nothing helps as much as a power nap.
Last year coming back from london, I was so tired I pulled into a service station, parked up and took a power nap of maybe 15 minutes. Woke up then went inside and bought a mcdonalds coke and I was right as rain for the next hour or so.
Getting to my destination without realizing how I got there? . . . . I plead the 5th.
Micro sleeps are a real thing, sometimes have you ever drove somewhere and wondered how I got to this point because you can't remember the last 10 seconds.
Someone can't drive a car for a very long time while sleeping unless the car has A.I assisted driving ?
Even in a straight road I think most peoples would slowly deviate to the left or right and either hit another car hit something standing by the side of the road.
I mean , if they're truly falling Asleep.
Don't drive if you're too much tired, this is as bad then being drunk.
