What's the deal with Reddit?
So I've heard news such as Reddit it's being wrong. Is that true? Are redditors usually wrong in certain facts?

I see it more as a platform for debate, if you are willing to participate, I think it's not necessarily a place to find information to study but basing it off my own experience where I do get some help when I need it in order to fix something or find out more information about it (which usually pertains to computer related stuff for instance like hardware or games or OS) I think it can be handy only I think there could be other sources that are more suitable to really find the truth on an issue or again to study something.

Like even with Wikipedia people say to be careful and not to assume everything there is 100% correct. I guess that goes also for people like even teachers can be wrong sometimes.

I guess in this sense if you really want to get down to it, cross checking (facts) and research are your best options and then if you are willing to be diligent it doesn't matter if you use Reddit as a source like a starting point or a point in your research because by then you will be having more than just one source anyway.

One thing I think Reddit can be useful for is for instance if you make your own thread and ask about stuff that interests you there, then there is probably a big chance someone with expertise will chime in at a point just... A bit cross referencing wouldn't do harm anyway, at least if you are taking things (information) seriously.

Reddit is great for when you google a computer issue...usually find a solution there

For anything else...it's pretty bad

It's a forum. Like any other. Including this one.

Yeah it's all contained in the Faustian deal they all have to sign in order to use the site. This never happens anywhere else.

reddit has subreddits that are usually one sided. even someone made a good claim it didn't get the spotlight

i usually visit niche subs because those are more interesting and actually funny. it still got that problem but not that big

So giving false info only happens in Reddit but not in any other site?

Yes. All the lies are contained there, safe. Everywhere else is nothing but truth, like here, for example.
Bright, shiny grand halls of pure truth, this place.
