My local sushi place makes an amazing Wagyu beef roll that has some sort of sweet honey sauce drizzled over it. It's pretty damn amazing.

Which is funny. I am a trained sushi chef. I'm quite good. Not Jiro good. Maybe iron chef Myamoto good. Nah. Just above average, I would say.

Sushi is not just raw fish.

Hosomaki. No experiments! Works great alongside almost everything, as well as the main dish and on the go. I never got the appeal of uramaki.

But I prefer nigiri and chirashi over maki anyway.

Not a big fan of sushi so I don't have one. And this coming from someone who ate sushi from a container siilar to a gas station sushi instead of an actual sushi place and two of the biggest stores have a sushi place with an actual sushi chef which I wanted to get but don't knpw how to order. :/
