mine is both an entertaiment center and a creation tool.
But these days there's not so much of a distinction, in either of those categories. At this point it's more or less just you want Nintendo exclusives, or you're just used to console gaming from previous decades.
sounds like some PC vs Console debate that's been going on between neck beards for a couple decades now..
seems like an inane topic that's an argument prone (which you know) bait thread for trying to collect 'points'.
0/10 pass.
you can have my popcorn, ill leave it behind.
I have a semi-decent gaming PC now, but I still prefer console if given the option. I'm not spending 10 minutes tweaking my graphics settings, I'm not wasting time researching whether a game will run well on my machine, I'm not applying patches to a game just so it'll open. I just put in the disc, sit on the couch, and start playing.
Consoles are more limited, sure, but that's a worthy trade off for the convenience that comes with them imo.
What happens when your controller breaks?
Some games support Keyboard and mouse, but it’s not a standard.
On PC you are given options for keyboard and mouse, or controller for many games
I use my Xbox for a glorified 360 now (and to play Fortnite if my friends need me, I will never install Fortnite on my PC, let alone epic game launcher)
I had one game that for some reason defaulted to 720p. I just changed that one setting and it was fine. Took seconds. Everything else has had no issue.
"Most"?... says who? Any numbers to prove that OP?
I get a game and I can play it immediately.
I don't like fiddling with settings.
back in the days you had a lot's of computers game that where not on consoles or only came on consoles years after getting their fist success as PC games.
I started PC gaming 10ish years ago. By that I mean I built my first PC. I had an Xbox and Playstation, but I moved to PC.
- I like the flexibility and customization PC had when I started gaming.
- I couldn’t mod Skyrim or Minecraft on Xbox.
- I liked peer to peer servers/community servers for games like TF2.
- At the time at least PC had better performance overall.
- Mouse and Keyboard were also better than a controller for some things.
- paying for Xbox live was dumb
The downside was I missed out on exclusives which is less of an issue today. And figuring out the software bugs at times. Which is annoying but not as bad as it’s made out to be.
Not to say the consoles are bad. It’s really a stupid topic, because everyone has different needs in their gaming experience.
