Valve themselves aren't, no.
Not advertantly anyway. But inadvertantly? Likely. Anyhow, i wonder if Putin is going to continue to have Steam continue running in their country.
A sincere question, being i really don''t know the answer, but is Valve an American company? And if so, are they supposed to have servers and business with Russia in the first place?
Idk how this works. I was under the impression Xbox and Sony ended that, but here its still happening.
It doesn't matter. Sanctions aren't the same as a complete embargo or banning all trade, it targets certain entities. People would still be able to use VPNs to access outside servers anyway, and they don't need to do any of this to still get western propaganda. There's literally nothing some reporter in CS:GO can provide that wasn't already available and accessible. It's a complete non-story put up for clickbait.
You don't need a ≈$500 Steam deck to control a turret. Instead you can use Intel NUC or Raspbetry PI with cheap monitor and controller, this way you can safe tons of money.
Well, the overall question, is if you look at our own Western propaganda (for the lack of a better term), and that getting thru Valve in the mist of a war, the same could be said, it happening the opposite way.
Which is to say, the meaning of the sanctions no matter successful or not, were meant to hurt Russia economically, but also to prevent Russian propaganda. And we did that with RT, and a number of other media outlets. Yet, this provides an opening of sorts, and if true, should likely be investigated by US Authorities.
I am inadvertantly "helping" Ukraine (jelping Zelensky and NATO, not really Ukraine...) because I pay taxes in a Country that picked that side. I am also suure that I am inadvertantly helping Ukraine when I buy stuff in the local shopping mall (that has always that Ukraine flag on display in a very annoying way) and in many other ways probably. It's not like there is much one can do in those situations.
Well, one matter left out of the story, was a statement by, Valve, who owns the game and i would think have to know, their company being used for reasoning it was not meant to be used, unless, they do know, and are aiding in this effort.
Staying away from politics and stop caring for citizen rights, is the surest, fastest way, for Democratorcs to fleece you and burn you alive!
The party I have voted for the last few times is the party that was more willing to be neutral and don't get involved but the votes it... "received"... in the last elections were extremely low.
This is why I say "received" using quotation marks, such a poor result is not believable in my opinion. I think that elections are manipulated and results are not genuine.
I will still vote for that party nextr time because I agree with its politics and I want to show with my vote that I am against what my Country is doing, both in this war and in many other things too, but at this point I believe that in practices they can decide the outcome of elections, and voting dsoes not change much.
The results in the last elections in particular were not realistic and not believable in my opinion.
