Wokeness and YouTube comments.

i was watching a YouTube video about Redfall the new disaster from Bethesda.
and i felt good to know the launch was terrible, i wish the same for all 70$ games.

there was some comments talking about "Get Woke Go Broke".
many other comments talking about Wokeness.
like its the only reason for the disastrous launch.

the game was unfinished. Wokeness has nothing to do with its failure.

so i typed one comment i said : what's woke about Redfall

someone replied to me with this : 2 characters are Females and one of them is Black.

i replied to him : and the other one is White. whats wrong?

he replied : yes but still a Woman. ( i called him He because i am 99.99% sure he is a boy )

another replied and said : they are not pretty.

i replied to him : why they need to be pretty, they are in a wasteland fighting Vampires?? ( called him Him because i am sure he is another boy )

then it was just a mass of none sense replies.

i noticed most of them share one thing. Waifu avatars. most of them.
so i clicked at the most angry one of them. and checked his channel. ( some OT members think this is stalking, its not )

guess what i found in his channel?
clips all about waifu games. all the waifus with high heels, tight short dresses, full makeup going to fights,
one hit from one of them killed 100 meter 50 tons giant Dragon. just one hit.

I am against woke, it is annoying, but from what I understand we have four characters, two men and two women, and one of the women is black, right?
Well if it's just that then calling it woke is the most stupid thing imaginable.

I have just dismissed this game almost immediately after I have seen it is a mmo, for me this is the problem this is the reason why I will never be interested in it.
Also being a Microsoft game I imagine that it will require a Microsoft account, right? Which is another reason to not buy it.

Well it’s actually pretty simple

The majority of gamers are white, straight males. So ideally you should market towards this demographic with cute girls and powerful male protagonists, this is what that demographic wants.

When people get called racist or bigot for not pledging their undying allegiance to some political movement. When you can go to jail/fined or get fired over memes or liking a comment on Facebook/Twitter. Thats the times we live in now. It wasn't like that before.

Politics has turned people into permanently offended narcissists.

I'll be making a segway on this discussion, but I agree that most comment sections of many websites have a tendency to be toxic. The only kind of comment sections that I would consider as "civilized" would be those from websites that harbor pornographic content, like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It could be the memes, it could be that my information's exaggerated, but frankly, I yearn for such a time when dudes and dudettes would agree in many issues under the pretense of post-orgasm clarity.

politics affect every facet of your life because we (yes i know this usually said as a meme but i mean it unironically) live in a modern, civilized society and that is an un-removeable part of living in one. politics affect government and social policies and have for a very long time, just because you never noticed before doesn't mean they didn't exist

You actually proved the point that the game is woke. Everyone youre talking to are all boys, and yet theyre wondering why the game isnt representative of them and instead aims to cater to the lgbtq/diverse/DEI/inclusive crowd which is the whole point of saying "go woke go broke" because if the game no longer represents its user base and instead some assortment of varying races and sexes that are thrown into the game to virtue signal, thats what people are complaining about.

Thats just you projecting. Nobody said its the only reason, you just interpreted it that way and now youre arguing here on Steam to random people who arent involved, that your own personal mis-interpreation of what other people meant is an issue that needs to be discussed when in reality, nobody said thats the only reason, they just gave one BLATENT reason.
