Basically treat it like you're not trying to convince the other person, you're trying to convince any observers, be they actual or theoretical. Particularly online. Imagine someone is doing Internet research on a topic, and a Google search on that topic happens to bring them to the thread you're arguing in. This researcher will look at all the arguments, including yours, and possibly come to a conclusion based on this information.
If you feel satisfied that your argument sufficiently covers all your opponent's points and that your own argument was presented well enough that a reasonable theoretical observer would reliably come to the conclusion that you are correct, then you've "won", whether your opponent believes it or not.
Nothing, just leave this person alone.
Because there are so many of them and internet makes it easy for them to find others like them.
Pretty sure it will eventually start to interfere with actual real life when there are enough people like this. Actually you are seeing it already.
Good luck!
you already won
Try to understand their point of view, use persuasive language and try to look for common ground.
Just know when to walk away, and give up. A mind that chooses to be changed can only be changed, and don't start the dominance game either because it will become impossible.
Why care what someone accepts ? let them stay ignorant, if 'proof' is not enough lol. We all reap what we sow, and the universe has a way of graciously facilitating the cold empty isolation well earned by those unaccepting of truth.
