The prototype makes me sad :(

DRM ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aside, it could have been so much more than it is.
I had the character creator back in the day, never actually got the final game, but tbh over the years I have yet to meet or hear about any raving spore fans
Most people will call it decent, but no one goes to bat for spore. It's not a hill anyone dies on.
That sort of makes me sad. Spore always made me sad.
That was a promise I think the world felt break.
That was perhaps one of the last times I tried to keep going because so many others were saying how good it was. Everything in front of me was screaming "meh."
So, maybe one could get it for dirt cheap these days and get maybe $3 bucks or less fun out of it.
Then again, that might mean dealing with stinky EA.
