any youtuber doing work at home in front of a camera and making more money then people with real jobs is already crazy to me and we got markiplier and jack who rocketed their carries and achieved movie star status, something the nerd and critic can only dream of, james rolf has a passion for movies and only made one years ago, it sucked, doug walker made like five and they sucked too, and he has a team of friends, heres mark who was and still is a clown who completely out did them both and went beyond, of course he got a crew and got some famous people like danny trejo. and i think he went over his head in some like dating his dog, being a thief with too many endings and who killed mark. he may think hes a genius but i didnt care for his home movies at all, they may be great to him and others but i thought it was just over the top, hes a youtuber but hes aiming for hollywood. jack had to show his face in poppy chapter 2 and the free movie.. and he looks like a dude in the anime eden zero. i dont hate them, but they dont more then enough and seeing them in a game or movie is just dumb because it feels way to forced and not needed

if you are off your soap box, the reason they are so big outside of starting around the golf era of youtube is that they have the charisma to be entertaining like comedians for example. Just because you can make a few jokes or make videos doesn't mean you'll entertain people to gain a following.

They're not doing anything wrong. These youtubers are paid with ad revenue. These people aren't celebrities they didn't get hand-picked by Hollywood. The viewers have direct control over their success.

They're rich because millions of people chose to watch videos and give them ad revenue.

Markiplier is a lunatic. He did a smash or pass video on pokemon and he said he would smash beedrill. He also "eats" takis by sucking all the seasoning off and then spitting out the tortilla.

Don't watch youtubers you don't like. You have won by successfully denying them your ad revenue.

This is my theory. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

With the dawning of the digital age, for the first time in history the volume of entertainment available meant that an individual, if they search hard enough, will find whatever niche content that they enjoy.

Simultaneously, our recreation habits changed from being communal in nature to solitary. There were so many dopamine sources out there we could tap, by ourselves, at will, without having to risk the now agonizing moment of boredom that letting someone else have turn entails, the risk that they might make the moment 'uncool'.

These two concepts interfere 'constructively', magnifying each other in a feedback loop with each individual becoming less tolerant of others' 'taste' and increasingly defining themselves by their own choice of entertainment. This isolated us from each other, as the appetite for compromise was overwritten by self righteousness.

We retreated into solitary bubbles, populated by NPCs of our choosing. But we found that the virtual, simulated playmates were not as dynamic, lacking unpredictability that is the hallmark of free will. We became lonely. But our social skills have declined as our consumption increased.

Enter the social media personality. Like all other content, they come in a variety of flavors. Unlike a real friend, your commitment to them is limited only by your reduced attention span. Now instead of risking real social interaction, we watch Clickbait and his friends, Like & Subscribe.

Imo the worst part about youtube influence is that people believe these guys just because they have high view counts. Like the youtubers spout their opinions and then idiots online wholesale adopt the opinion or mistake the opinion as fact.

Just a shining example of how idiots online are procreating their idiocy.

No exceptions for any youtuber. If that's your sole role then your opinion weighs the exact same as every single other person. Your fame doesn't give it credibility.

There are so many channels out there it is impossible to watch them all. If one finds a creator not to their liking then freakin' switch to something that is and stop being so negative!

Get yourself a camera, put it on a tripod and try creating content. Film at least 10 minutes.

No, really. Try it. Try talking into it while playing a game, try talking into it with no game... Just try making content.

Now play the footage back on your computer and see if you could do better than the people getting millions of views.

Ones wealth, success, or social status should not be judged. To judge someone is to judge yourself. To admire, to want something someone has, or to have hatred, jealousy, etc. Is a sign of evil and sin. Why should ones wealth effect your way of life, your goals, your happiness? There is more to life than cotton trade, so much thing's to give you happiness. This is coming from someone who lived all their life, even now in poverty. Would i like to be successful and become wealthy with said trade? Yes, absolutely. However, I refuse to let other peoples success blind me, instead, I am happy for them.

He actually quit because he got mad and said the N word on live TV and Disney dropped him, after that he tried to keep going till T-Series, an India-based piracy and video stealing group overcame him he just gave up entirely

I dont blame him, when Youtube literally lets a group known for stealing others videos in mass and striking you and never them, I'd royally give up to!

I watched him for skate 3,happy wheels,impossible games,etc videos but alas that all sadly died like every other good youtuber

Only one whos still loyal with their content are Vanoss and the Goons(Soup,McNasty,Blarg,etc)
Those are only ones i actually enjoy watching

Oh and CallMeKevin is still good but less videos along with JonTron
