I've never had a moobs problem so I can't say from experience, but I do know that national healthcare bodies such as NICE and HAS which are responsible for approving such things don't have a problem with said garments.
I'm pretty sure breasts which develop because of gynecomastia aren't as susceptible to pain as women's breasts because the tissue composition is different. They are more fatty and less glandular I think.

Compression socks are to help with your vascular problems, when you wear something for manboobs it's just for support since it's just fat hanging not at alll like women breasts which are glandular sacks you shouldn't compress (at least not constantly loll)
