There is, however, an older game that did exactly what you write about: Arcanum. It was actually a combination of Steampunk and classic fantasy elements where you could either choose a technological character who could use firearms, bombs, machines and even cyborgs or a magician.
Here's the game on Steam:

And here's some video showing the gameplay:

In others, the world is sometimes post-doomsday (A good example is Tower of Fantasy, largely seen as a non-future like game but actually confirms the game is set 500 years from our future and alot has changed)
Heck Xenoblades does a good job with it, while I wont spoil it, their lore gives a hearty reason to why guns still exist as do blades.
its more of a common trope otherwise if they don't have lore, Warcraft for example is entirely fantasy yet guns do exist, as do tesla coil guns, flying machines of special types and giant planetary surface death guns yet its still entirely taking place where energy is rather freaking rare outside of literally lighting magic.
You can just decide that not only guns exist but that armors can be enhanced with magics to enable them to stop bullets.
It's magic , you don't need anything to be realistic or properly explained.
