But the best state is going to depend on what you value more than each state.

Every immigrant I've known tends to prefer the states with major US cities. New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas or Houston, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Washington DC or Alexandria, Portland, Seattle. Those kind of places.

As an Oregonian I do actually want to move there eventually for complicated reasons but the idea of needing to pay some mystery price in every purchase just doesn't seem rational to us.

Arizona is nice but they have no beaches.
Florida weather is very bad.
Nevada is nice i like the desert but Arizona is better.
