If you don't have at least a vocational degree, in Germany, no matter how skilled you are, they are worthless. Even if for your skill-set, there exists no degree yet. And if there is a degree for that, good luck finding an affordable way of getting it. Once you finally got that degree, expect the same companies complaining about a shortage on specialised workers, only looking to pay insultingly low wages to the most perfects applicants - ideally the ones with a university degree.
There is no shortage of specialised labour in Europe, only a shortage in specialised slaves!

I have the opposite problem. My skills are worth too much.

I usually have to leave 75%+ of my experience off my CV or I get "your wayyyyyy too overqualified for this job" responses.

Also, knowing how to game the algorithms of job posts and candidate filtering programs means I get callbacks and interview offers on most of the jobs I apply to.

Having any qualification does not make you skilled. Its all backstory and fundamentals.
What will make it easier to understand is to use competency in place of skill as that's what an employer is looking for..
All a qualification does is go someway and its quite small to demonstrating competency.

(I did take a moment to double-check myself though. People with Master's degrees can sometimes become professors, but generally every university and 4-year college requires their professors to have a doctorate.

That said, my Calc III class was taught by a history graduate student. So, as you can imagine, that went well...)

As I've stated previously. You're seeing the effects of early childhood programming, brain damage, and cognitive disruption from a variety of sources. This has formed a large portion of the basis and the invisible core drivers which culminated into the Kafka-esque hyper-systematized brittle situation you're describing. Even with non-local factors, history, geopolitics, globalization, politicians installed who don't actually care about their host nations or owe allegiance elsewhere. Without continually disrupting the base biological layer, they couldn't so easily keep the higher social and cultural layers controlled.

Don't stop at describing the problem, trace it back to causes, and explain it. You're living within something malfunctioning but want to also act as though nothing could be that wrong. It doesn't make sense.

• Go to law school next. Probably volunteer at a law firm first and see if that is something that you really want to do.
  
  
• Become a professor. You might make(what do they make these days?) 60-80K? You can spend vast amounts of time writing flawless academic reports and studies. You might even win awards for them and yet maybe one or two people skimmed them- at most before they get thrown in the file cabinet.
  
  
• Since the (American) left wing is too soft and disengaged there is no money in it.
  
  You gotta fake being right wing and start loudly spewing out racism, hate, young flat Earth creationism, fear, crime exaggeration, conspiracy theories and then sell your audience gold coins, get-rich quick schemes, herbal penis lengtheners, miracle diet powders, books, videos...
