Modern Pizza places tend to offer thin, crusty, crunchy, range of toppings and the sauces inside the edges. I haven't had them in a long time but vividly remembers how stuffed crust taste so delicious.
They introduced in 2021.And how many use those vending machines are and why they don't expand, also the rest of commerical chains why they dont expand?
Do you grasp what pizziaiolos/pizzeria are and how many they are?
Do you understand that pizzaiolos/pizzeria are both a big part part of turism and food scenes?
Oh no, I get all of that. Italy, without a doubt, has more than its fair share of exceptionally good pizza places (made by hand with some of the absolute best and freshest ingredients you'll find in a pizza) - but there is no wizardry in the Italian soil nor running in the blood of its native populace that magically makes every pizza joint in the country have good pizza (or conform to what would be considered best practices for Italian pizza). There are still plenty of places in Italy that have, what can at best be described as, mediocre pizza. My point is it is perfectly possible to find bad pizza in Italy (both before Dominos arrived on the scene and there will continue to be bad pizza to be found after their closure).
Again the reason why it closed is because there is no demand and other why they dont expand and survive for to long. The italians have better overall product that is native and thats what is in the end about, competition in market which these guys cannot break in.
No one here would have done something THAT stupid.
They wasted billions of dollars doing exactly that.
But guess what? The parasite class doesn't need a sound business model to stay rich. They have friends in high places, the legislators wrapped around their little finger, and they will get bailout money again and again and again and again. However many times they drive their businesses into ruin and make the world a worse place to live in, they will get bailed out again.
They aren't allowed to be poor.
You aren't allowed to be rich.
Real Pizza in Italy is under the UNESCO. This means those are the REAL ingredients. Outside Italy you won't find them.
They were fantastic like 30 years ago, I will never forget pizza back then but then they slowly started to get worse and at this point I believe every single one of them is awful.
There might still be some very rare exception. But VERY rare at best. Just to make it clear, I prefer to not even try anymore. It is not worth it at this point.
My father literally hates every single thing about America (I hope nobody gets offended: my father isa a brainwashed idiot raised in an awful family and awqful social environment) and even my father admitted that at this point McDonald's hamburgers are much, much better than the pizza you can find in pizza restaurants.
Imagine how bad it must be.
Don't think that italian pizza is good because it is not anymore. It basically does not exist anymore this crap is completely different to what we were used to decades ago.
Disclaimer: most pizza restaurants are still much less bad than Roadhouse fast food anyway. If for some reason you must choose between those two, eat a disappointing pizza. It is the less worse choice.
If pizzas where crap resturants would close because in the end things work by demand, now lets look that in term of the economics:

I have seen people praise awful garbage that made me almost vomit.
I have seen people praise a pizza restaurant where I have seen with my own eyes a waiter picking up food that fell on the ground, put it again on the plate and serve it to people.
Personal subjective takes and opinions biased/or unbiased one person, dont reflect reality of their economy or demand from both tourism and restourants scene there

Unfortunately I don't have a time machine to let you experience how an actually good pizza should be...
But if you don't want to follow my advice you can buy that garbage they sell you today, it's not really my problem.
First, they only gained broad access to the market by purchasing the two national top dogs Joey's Pizza and Hallo Pizza. Then, they renamed them and started selling their crap, not taking native pizza culture into account. They colonised the market, which is an unforgivable sin, period.
However, there are still many more smaller, local places which offer superiour service. Heck, even the supermarket freezer offers better service than Domino's.
Having a pizza delivered to your door by a local company is nice, but home-made Flammkuchen, Krusta, Toast Hawai'i and Blechpizza beats them all.
