What happened with Shinji Mikami and Capcom?
I know he's the dude that made the Resident Evil games, but what caused him to leave? Did Capcom want a different direction with the games, or was he angry about something?

Let our international powers combine!

Chinese here.

My findings from a Chinese interview :
https://www.gamersky.com/news/201402/337829.shtml

- Capcom has grown big in business sense, starting to have managing plans that are similaiar to EA in terms of workflow in HR, resources, etc. He loves Capcom best when the company is still small. In the past, when a developer has great ideas, they wil be given a lot of support from the supervisors and investors. Now it's different.

- Left Capcom so that he could do more things which he enjoy.

- He feels that it is difficult for many game developers to find balance and opportunity. For example, at 40+ you will lose touch with the game spirit. At 20+, you can't survive in this career without investment and support.

- He build his own company, Tango Gameworks at age 44 - as a support platform for young developers. He is ready to give up on his position when he have found the right person.

most creators and devs often left after making some games in the series. probably clashing future visions for the series on both sides so they left to find more creative freedom without corporate interruption
