so the "education" I got in school was objectively better and more technically correct than what my parents were taught in school... and I imagine that their "education" was better than the generation before them and the current generation is getting an objectively better "education" than I did...

so wtf is "education"?
if it was factual knowledge then it wouldn't change and I'd have been taught that the world is a single continent and sickness is caused by "bad air"...

so is it just a form of conformity? a "mattrix"? a cleverly devised roose?

Do you think schools should be some kind of therapy centers that deal with the cases of depression and sadness? Because if they did that, they'd have zero time to actually teach.

If there is so much kids afraid to go to school, to the point to become sick, it's for a reason. I don't know how schools are handled in other countries, but in France it's a nightmare. So yes, schools are designed to make you profitable for society, at the expense of your own health and wellbeing. Or the reason why I've forgotten everything I've learned in schools about education and just taken the instruction part. Maybe schools are better in other countries, but from my own experience, schools cause a lot of harm to kids and repair nothing afterward, they should be limited to instruction only and leave the education part to the parents.

To understand why I react like that, keep in mind the actual events in France right now. We have leaders here who show 0 respect to peoples and lead by force without listening to anyone and social tensions that increase over time since decades. I'm responssible of the education of my childs, not the school and if the school try to influence my childs, it become an enemy, period. Schools should be instruction only, teaching about maths, sciences and other neutral subjects that just give more knowledges and skills.

i really don't see how "leaving the education part to parents" would fix the issue of kids' mental health, especially when so many parents don't actually know how to parent and they end up being some flavor of abusive themselves

maybe schools should take into account the mental health part

I disagree and agree with what the right honourable gentlemen is saying. I say education is VERY important but you should also go out and learn has much as you can also.

Back in the 80's in my school, the schooling was pretty alright. In history, they never shy'd away from upsetting us with stories, images and descriptive words of past events no matter how upsetting. Quite a shocking when learning about mary I (bloody mary) burning people alive as a kid

I mean trust me France schools can't teach ♥♥♥♥, teachers themselves are afraid of kids half of the time and are perfectly unable to maintain order, even less teach anything, the time when i was in school i can tell their program was garbage, there is no fixing that and getting in superior studies because this was a mess and i simply couldn't do anything i actually cared for.

So them teaching about the more social ♥♥♥♥ is simply unthinkable. Sex education was like a 1 hour thing and i learned nothing of it too lol.

This has been allowed to creep into our school system and it only further degrades our education system. This mostly affects kids from the most deprived backgrounds.

When I was in school, we were mostly afraid of our teachers. The female teachers we walked all over but most of the male teachers we considered as evil for the most part. Throwing chairs, books, pens and that blackboard rubber at misbehaving kids.

For me in class, I noticed kids from deprived backgrounds tended to misbehave the most. But they were soon sent to special classes were all the not rights kids ended up.

Pay wage has gone down by a ♥♥♥♥ tone due to greedflation all while productivity has gone up. People are too willing to trade important time with the family for a few More pennies
