You used venomous instead of poisonous. I respect that.
Should have used inverts don’t leave out octopuses and slugs
that would very much bother me if I was there... but it's over there so it can be.
I make an exception for the Madagascan hissing beetle, because that's an adorable creature and I wouldn't mind keeping one as a pet. Such a precious little critter.
I also have a soft spot for moths, butterflies, earwigs and ants. Though in the case of the latter two it's because I understand that earwigs are exceptionally good mothers and I was so obsessed with ants as an idiot child that it lead me down the road to studying entomology.
Which speaking of did you know that the wood louse - more commonly known as the pillbug - is in fact not an insect but a crustacean? Did you also know that they taste like stale urine?
Nature is amazing.
