sometimes you just have to bite the bullet on the issue and pay a little more for an item elsewhere, you can't be a cheapskate all the time.
[Also, Walmart does that too in a way - they offer a deal to make huge stock amount purchases from companies, but only at a super low price for the huge lot, otherwise no deal - this forces many manufacturers to take the deal even if it hurts a bit, to make a sale. I love Walmart for it's low prices too lol. Edit: Temu has admitted they 'use low prices to harm competitors'; in other words, even if they lose money on a purchase, they gained a customer from a competitor. harsh but competitive in the business world (and Amazon did the same thing)]
