What are the best JRPGs?

Final Fantasy 3 is really fun (play the pixel remaster, easily the definitive version of ff3)

Basically this. There is more you can explore like some Final Fantasy games i suppose, the SaGA series; though i don't like the recent atelier games, i only played the PS2 ones.

Something more classic, I'd say Octopath Traveller-ish comes to mind.

I admit, Chrono Trigger had a pacing, polish, soundtrack, and approachibility that that makes it hard to separate my nostalgia from it.

I don´t actually like jRPG´s.. But due to nostalgia, I will list Final Fantasy 7.. that was great and well..

I am sure some would list Chrono Trigger as well.. but well..

square games recommended ff4,6,7, xenogears. phantasy stars, shining force, golden sun. Tear ring saga, Berwick saga, fire emblem 1 to 5, Vestaria Saga. Tactic ogre and Final fantasy Tactics. Dragon quest. EarthBound. Atlus games. Vandal Hearts. Ogre battle.
Chrono Cross is its sequel but it has tic tok toe combat system compared to Trigger
Jrpg is such a board genre. Majority dont come from big companies and are domestic released. So there are many gems need to use fan translation.
