Found the non reddit user. Obviously never follwed any gaming subreddit whatsoever.

You say that like it's a bad thing... it's a good thing. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
If u say so, ur opinion is obviously fact after all, not.

They go into it a bit. Only a few big name sub-reddit's are down and that has made the top page of reddit a lil wonky. Mini-minor subs are still active.

It's impressive they managed to all band together to do something like this, however it's only for 2 days. After that it's probably back to usual and nothing will change.

If we made 2 weeks into 2 years once then we can make 2 days into 2 months.

Up to the people who are on strike. They're the ones who set the 2 day dead line apparently.

At least r/lounge isn't in the blackout! :)
Oops sorry! The people most directly responsible have been sacked.

the apollo dev said that after the 2 days, they would decide what next if nothing was changed

they were hoping it would show reddit what they are facing if they continue

that was before the phone calls, lies and then the decision to just close the app
they closed the app?

it shuts down at the end of the month. a couple of others, as well

they would have to pay upwards of 20 mil a year to keep running
I just went to reddit and the site looks functional and VERY alive :steambored:
"Did Reddit really die?"

I wish.
i hope so

at the same time i see what happened after tumblr fell and the fallout on twitter was horrible

God, I hope not. Reddit is a containment site...if it goes, we'll have r*dditors infesting other venues.
I still remember the Tumblr migration. When they said they drew things they were not kidding. Didn't see any of that gender stuff much tho, it was quite rare. Probably went to Twitter? Hmmm, yes, that could explain it.
Only temporarily, or at least I hope.

Say what you want about the community, but there's a LOT of really useful information locked away behind subreddits from people asking oddly specific questions. It'd massively suck to lose it all.
