Foods that should always be microwaved
What are some foods that taste just as good in the microwave and using the oven/hob just wastes time? Baked beans apply ig

Ah so microwave food is perfectly safe. That's good to know, I was getting hysterical over nothing.
yes, it is,
modern microwaves do not "leak"
you can test this using a shortwave radio, tune it to any SW band, and put it close to the microwave's door, you will see that it only experiences mild static interference.

a leaking microwave would make a radio absolutely freak out.

Faraday cages work, everyone.

That ignores the reason why microwaving food is considered harmful - it alters the composition of the food itself. Has nothing to do about the device itself leaking radiation. Hell if it leaked then the food would end up being less degraded than if it doesn't leak.

Put it this way: Microwave itself is relatively safe, the food prepared by it is not.

apologies, my explanation was about the reasons i've always heard people parroting about them.
Next time you come in contact with microwaved food, pay attention how quickly it goes bad/rots. (drastic difference compared to oven baked)
Does that mean nothing?

I only microwave the Pillsbury Pizza Pops, you can buy a case of 30 at Walmart for under $20, I think the case was $14.99 or $17.99 CAD

Why would i wait for it to rot? Wait are you microwaving food and then putting in the fridge to heat again later? No wonder you are getting sick.

What if you order it and it takes more than 20 min to arrive???

What if you buy it for someone else as take out food and then deliver it to them?

Microwaved stuff starts to taste bad in 15 minutes.

Well tbh I mean, I've never got sick from food I've microwaved and I've never seen it rot in front of my eyes. If this stuff is happening to you, then yeah, stay away from the microwave.
stay away from that microwave in specifics.
Microwaving jamaican patty's is like chewing on shoe leather, jamaican patty's are meant to be flaky pastry with spicy minced meat and not tough leather like

I am skeptical you would associate sickness with microwaved food. I didn't for most of my life. But once I became aware of it, I started to notice it pretty much every time.

The immediate effects are irritation of the mouth and throat. Harder to breathe as the throat becomes slightly swollen and mucus membranes are irritated. This only last for about 15-30 minutes.

Consistent eating causes a bleeding skin condition in the fat tissues around the lower abdomen and bottocks, but I am not sure what it is called in english.

There are a thousand other ill effects it can have, but damage beyond the upper digestive systems is not guaranteed.

buddy i think you're just allergic to something.
i do not have symptoms even remotely close to this, and i've had periods of eating microwaved foods every day for weeks on end.
Microwaves don't ruin food. It cooks the same. Only difference is the rate is a lot faster so it's easier to overcook food in the microwave.

As already said cooking in any way changes the food. It's not the microwaves.

I really don't get why some people allow themselves to believe some random common misconception floating around the Internet when it clashes with easily obtained empirical evidence.

Like that thing about microwaves cooking from the inside out. How can anyone believe that when the single most characteristic characteristic of microwaved food is that it is STILL FROZEN ON THE INSIDE?

Or the thing about water making that burn from spicy food worse. Um... NO? Who told you that and why did you believe them? When you can just bite into a Habanero and take a swig of water and find that it's literally as opposite of true as possible?

Or in this case, this thing about food not turning into rubber in the microwave. Just put something in a microwave and take a bite of it. Like, come on.

For some reason my chicken nuggests are rubbery too when I boil them on the stovetop :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

You boil chicken nuggets??
I don't like microwaved water for my tea, I rather use a electrical kettle
