That ignores the reason why microwaving food is considered harmful - it alters the composition of the food itself. Has nothing to do about the device itself leaking radiation. Hell if it leaked then the food would end up being less degraded than if it doesn't leak.
Put it this way: Microwave itself is relatively safe, the food prepared by it is not.
Does that mean nothing?
What if you order it and it takes more than 20 min to arrive???
What if you buy it for someone else as take out food and then deliver it to them?
Microwaved stuff starts to taste bad in 15 minutes.
I am skeptical you would associate sickness with microwaved food. I didn't for most of my life. But once I became aware of it, I started to notice it pretty much every time.
The immediate effects are irritation of the mouth and throat. Harder to breathe as the throat becomes slightly swollen and mucus membranes are irritated. This only last for about 15-30 minutes.
Consistent eating causes a bleeding skin condition in the fat tissues around the lower abdomen and bottocks, but I am not sure what it is called in english.
There are a thousand other ill effects it can have, but damage beyond the upper digestive systems is not guaranteed.
i do not have symptoms even remotely close to this, and i've had periods of eating microwaved foods every day for weeks on end.
As already said cooking in any way changes the food. It's not the microwaves.
Like that thing about microwaves cooking from the inside out. How can anyone believe that when the single most characteristic characteristic of microwaved food is that it is STILL FROZEN ON THE INSIDE?
Or the thing about water making that burn from spicy food worse. Um... NO? Who told you that and why did you believe them? When you can just bite into a Habanero and take a swig of water and find that it's literally as opposite of true as possible?
Or in this case, this thing about food not turning into rubber in the microwave. Just put something in a microwave and take a bite of it. Like, come on.
For some reason my chicken nuggests are rubbery too when I boil them on the stovetop
You boil chicken nuggets??
