the one that came on my mind is re2. i mean, there are some relief especially in cutscenes. what makes it scary is that the zombies are mostly unscripted. it doesn't make me not gonna open it again. quite the opposite. it's so scary and so good.

Nothing like that, but the best ones are Alien: Isolation, Resident Evil 2 (2019) and that one level from Thief: Deadly Shadows which puts all other actual horror games to shame.

Back in the day I would let my daughter play games on my computer.

This was a big thing for her. I have always had an office, and that office was completely off-limits to my daughter. I finally broke down and bought a PC game specifically for her. It was some Barbie game. I don't remember which one but it was in the value bin at Walmart. Looking back, I now realize that I could have bought any age appropriate game for her and she would have loved it. It was less about the game and more about her being able to play on her dad's computer and to spend time with her dad doing something we both enjoyed. Had I known that back then, I would not have bought a Barbie game but a game that we would both love from the get go.

I had to install the game and learn the basics of how to play it so I could teach her. As soon as I got a grasp on it, I deleted the save file so when the game started, it would look like it was opened for the first time.

Her and I ended up spending a lot of time on many different games, but the first game I bought her was the game that really terrified me.

It terrified me because after playing the game with her for a couple of weeks, I found myself actually liking the game. It is when my daughter went to bed and I found myself playing the game without her that I felt what I am sure true fear was.

I deleted the game and the Barbie disk "accidentally" broke when I was taking it out of my DVD-ROM.

It wasn't until a year or so later that I found out that she was actually kind of relieved that the game broke. She wanted to see my Steam list and play one of those games.
