Does Anyone Here Know How To Sew?
I own a sewing machine and can mend, take up, or make things from scratch if need be. I see no reason for not fixing an expensive set of coveralls made from Nomex and throwing them out due to a hole that can easily be fixed.

I can mend clothing, sew patches on, buttons, etc. Wouldn't say I'm that knowledgeable overall. I just do it by hand.

First you have to go to the courthouse, register your grievance, and then fill out some forms.

Wait, that's how to sue.
Yes, my grand mother taught me how to sew. I do like modifying when I am repairing and will even use odd fabrics. That can be very cool.
There was a course in homemaking in the elementary school, but I don't remember it well, I only took it partially. So, I don't think I can properly do it.

No, but I have people around me that do. Does that count?

Actually, wouldn't mind learning how to make custom clothes - tailored clothes.

No, you have to do it. ;)
Give me cloth, thread and a needle and watch me poke my fingers and hold a bloodied shirt.

Can use factory sewing machine. So not only sew but can go full embroidery.
I was taught sewing in a school home-ec class long ago. But I never do. I would use a iron-on patch instead of sewing.

Most would be able to if we had a free to play sew simulator on mobiles.
That most likely would trigger a huge popularity for the youth and some of them might even get to do analog/physical sewing.
Or schools simply bring back the subject "Crafts". When I was in primary school, we had that and it meant learning sewing, knitting, crochet and all that stuff.

My kids also learned it in scouting, mind, my eldest fixes clothes as well.

They still have it here in primary schools, I think from 4th grade and up to 10th grade.
It is called craft and design.

It is a bit more modern in its approach, but they actually do have a period where they try out sewing, but you know.. this is 2023, so it is ofc with eco friendly reused materials, that they gathered themselves or got during a trip on recycle station etc..
