Haven't played the 1st one you listed, but the 2nd one you listed has imho a well written history and decent gameplay.

I forgot about this version of the game, @Introverted Gamer is right, that's the best version since it has all the episodes of the TWD Telltale games.

Honestly in my opinion most players only cared for Season 1, 2 and The Final. The other two were alright.

Most player's reaction to seasons be like:

Season 1 - OMG, we have to play as the CLEM!!!

Season 2 - Let us play as her again!!!!

Michonne - Was ok, Let us play as the CLEM from the Previous!!!!

New Frontier - Who the F is This??? Give me back my CLEM!!!

Final - She's Finally Back!!!
