Best Arpg

What’s the best arpg in your opinion? Grim dawn, torchlight, path of exile or diablo? Do you think poe 2 will be better than diablo 4?

I will say that the people voting for Diablo 2 and who haven't tried Diablo IV yet should 100% try Diablo IV, it's a return to that style of gameplay but with way more quality of life and much more variety in skill/item builds with a difficulty curve/level that's pretty similar with you being challenged throughout the whole game as long as you're facing things around your level or above. It's far more Diablo 2 feeling than Diablo 3, but with sooo much polish and so much more to do. (i detailed a few things in my above post)

I 100% will not buy diablo 4 because of this post and your previous 'review novel vomit'. Just inane & annoying posts on here trying to 'sell' the game. i really didn't plan on buying it anyways, but maybe... like 5% chance. now there is a 0% chance.

post your fav Arpg and move on.. and stop trying to 'pander' games onto us. Is this a post about selling games and leaving full reviews to sell them? i missed that part in the OP's post.... If i want D4 i know where to find it.

and now ill totally avoid it like i did with d3. Thanks for saving me some cash.

Many of my reviews are like that, I sometimes can't even fit my reviews in side the 8000 characters Steam allows. I should be able to state my points for why I believe D4 is the best ARPG and I have.

Diablo II is hard to top.

Any ARPG that doesn't have a townie which identifies your stuff automatically has me wondering "Where the hell is Deckard Cain!?"

you can do whatever you want. you can post Christmas cookie recipes if you want. In retort I will respond as I am allowed due to this being an 'open' forum.

again, because of your giant wall of text vomit trying to pander d4 onto us multiple times (you 100% should try/buy it,etc) and 'de-railing' this persons topic into a sales/review praise blizzard post, instead of a simple (name your fav arpg) post, I personally will 100% not buy D4. I will also Not re-up by WoW sub for the in game items you can earn atm for the d4 launch.

Haven't played those type of games yet, but from what i've read and heard isn't Diablo 2 among the best games in the ARPG genre?

Torchlight II was the first ARPG I finished on Steam and my favorite.

I dunno if Fire King on the Commodore 64 counts as an ARPG.

Diablo IV is typical Blizzard boring grind that wastes your time. Waste of money....my money.
1) All the dungeons are limited to 2 styles- cave and castle types.
2) All the towns look the same just rearranged in a simplistic manner.
3) Gear gated.
4) Grindy
5) Boring with repetition
6) Limited classes with limited skills
7) If only Blizzard could make games as good as they market them
8) By the time you reach Paragon, you will either have died of boredom or died of boredom
