Do you hate working a job?
My job turns me into a sadistic monster.

I really envy ppl who truly luv their job. They don't know how lucky they are. The rest of us do what we have to just to survive. I don't hate my engineering profession, but don't really like it that much either. It pays the bills, that's about it.

I try to tell young folks to choose wisely because before you know it, you'll have financial obligations, family obligations and can't change jobs because you can't lower your standard of living to start over. After that, you're locked in for life.
I don't enjoy it.. I mean, I do for a little while, but once the amount of work that has to be done gets pilled up, I do no longer feel like working and actually enjoying drawing all those lines and circles in AutoCAD..
I busted absolute ass in my youth and ended up retiring in my mid-20's. Not sitting in a pool at my mansion but I don't have to work.

Is nice.

That is exactly what I did.

And it was worth it!

How? I can only figure out how to do that without marrying and having kids
I'm okay with my current job. It pays well and I have time to post on Steam OT.

It's a fairly "chill" position.
I'm a designer for an entertainment venue full of sports, music, food, fashion and celebrities. And if I ever get bored of that, I can transfer to other clienteles.

I love my job. :hp_beli:

The potato will not survive this winter.
It has its moments, but in general I like contributing to society and not being a parasite or expecting others to carry me. I like that everything i have was earned and not just given to me through some welfare program. I would feel pathetic if I ever had someone else supporting me when i was fully capable of supporting myself.

The few people I know that don't work - its clear it's had a negative impact on their personality and perspective. Not having obligations or being responsible for anything for too long does make people arrogant, ignorant, and entitled. They grow to expect a cushy life, and to expect others to facilitate that life, financially or otherwise. And because in that freedom they have total control over what they do and who they interact with, never forced to do anything outside their comfort zone or interact with anyone with contradicting opinions, they end up just living in a bubble and surrounding themselves with people just like them, their flaws becoming more pronounced over time. Their characters not just lacking growth, but actually devolving back into a child state. And not the cute kind, the brat kind.

It always clicks when i see someone with an attitude spewing nonsense, and then I find out they don't work. It's like 'Ooofff course!'

Please tell this to multi billion USD corporations who are the biggest recipients of federal aid/research grants/welfare, some don't even pay federal income taxes. :cuphead:
