Am i the only one who doesn't like excessive workshop modding garry's mod and exaggerating everything with those mods, the hud, the overlapping variety of new weapon animations that seem like a clone of each other.
Nothing beats the original HL2 base animations and not the juggling that happens in these moddings, as if it were COD.

I only use QOL mods, that doesn't affect the game generally.
I only use save editor and script hook mods, I'm trying out the scarless John Marston mod today that depends on Lenny's Mod Loader
I don't like modding games because I feel it promotes a culture of "developer laziness" - as they feel and act as if 'the community will fix it', which then puts a pressure on the community and gives specific modders undue power.

I always also feel that mods which truly improve the game should be put into the game.

Cities Skylines is a good example of a game like that, where mods took over :/
every kid on gmod these days tries to make gmod into something it isn't and it consistently looks like utter ♥♥♥♥
I only focus on mods that make the game fun like those scary new bots.
I tend to go light on mods for any game. Most the modding I do at all tend to be older stuff, and many of those mods are necessities just to get them to run and display correctly on modern hardware, or are purely aesthetic.

For me I’m the opposite. I even mod games before I start playing them. Weather it be making my generic military guy into Daryl Dixon or making the fugly female characters hot, I always tweak the game so that I will have the best experience that fits to what I personally want when I finally play.
I've never used a mod, lol.
Aesthetic mods and quality mods can be nice depending on the style and quality of the base game, but I too do not care for mods that change or alter actual gameplay and mechanics.
In Stationeers, I am currently using one workshop mod, that is the Saturn moon Titan. The rest of the workshop stuff I use for the game are just scripts and code for the in-game logic ICs.

It actually feels way better to maintain a balance between addons mods in garry's mod, especially when you don't want ♥♥♥♥ overlapping or of an excess load on hard-drive, addons are fine as long they serve a purpose like wire mod which helps with building advanced contraptions.

Yeps, i haven't found much of use except wire mod.
