Mens Mental Health Month
Its Mens Mental Health month. Its a less popular celebration this month so giving it attention.

Males make up 77% of suicides, likely because of an expectation to be strong, or be an unreasonable thing. Masculinity set by society as a concept forces men to act "strong" and be an unrealistic force. This is too much to ask and is ridiculous for all

If you have struggles, personal problems, or are overall going through something remember to take care of yourself, practice mindfulness and stay strong.

Life is wonderful, happiness is obtainable

Stay strong, kings. 🤴

I like this piece of advice.

I have been through many struggles and personal problems but I have always shown strength on the outside even tho im ripping apart from the inside. The thing is, nobody will help you overcome your own problems and personal issues (NOONE), only you and you alone can find your own strength to get up and fight another day. Showing weakness doesn't help anyone, you just simply have to battle it out yourself.

Im the kind of person who when confronted with a personal issue, looks at myself and tries his dam hardest to figure it out. Granted some problems im unable to deal with and will do my best too wash them away with time.
Most of the time, its never a good idea to run away from the problem, or ignore it.
Generally speaking (not saying it's the case with the original post, in fact it almost definitely isn't), I think it's amazing when those self-proclaimed "strong men" who apparently hate things like "snowflakes", "victimizing" and "made-up problems" just can't wait to victimize themselves which ends up sounding a lot more pathetic and annoying than what they complain about so much. Ironic.

Anyway, where exactly is this "society" that "asks" and "expects" these things of us? Never seen that... and that's coming from someone who lives in a highly conservative country. I don't understand, how can you blame all these things if something is wrong with your own life? What has that even got to do with being male? If anything, being male should make it easier.

The fact that you see an average guy like this who struggles with mental health as some kind of hateful monster is pretty sad.

Where did I say "the average guy who struggles with mental health is a hateful monster", hmm?

There's some irony in making this thread...

Err ya.. men take part in women's sport and steal their win, men identify as female online to trick gifts, men wear skirts outside.

What happened to men?

Some have lost their way... with help from women... again, there's also irony in that as well...
I see people are still ignoring the fact that women are 3x more likely to attempt suicide than men.
The simplest way to say it is this: Fall down seven times, stand up eight. Or iterate toward the solution.

But I wouldn't be too quick to claim why the number is 77%. It's a matter of debate.

People say that about everyone...

"oh? well ______ are _x more likely to..." but nothing to back it up... it's all a sympathy Olympics

Suicide statistics reveal that women are roughly three times more likely to attempt suicide, though men are two to four times more likely to die by suicide.

Its a good thing no body asked you with help with depression or even PTSD, I can't imagine how supportive you'd be in those situations...
no offense, but Im not taking advice from the werido that wanks it to cartoons
I'm..glad I didn't offer any then? If your trying to insult me then you'll need to do far better as I've heard the "Anime porn" dead memes more then I've seen the extremely dead dogge memes.
Controversial, I know, but I think men's mental health should be treated seriously and not as something to use for cheap point scoring against whatever it is we don't like. Perhaps the greater goal in life is less to be right and more to be good.

As someone who has in the past suffered from mental illness (insert tasteless joke about whether or not it ever stopped) I feel a responsibility to tell my fellow dudes: it can get better. Sometimes you really have to throw yourself at the problem, but it can get better. Don't let anyone belittle you for having emotions just for being a man. We are meant to be emotional creatures. Different colour palette to other beings, but emotions nonetheless. You can get through it, and if you ever feel you can't there is no shame at all in seeking help. Seeking help is how we built the pyramids!*

*Okay maybe a lot of that was slave labour

No, it's an easily verifiable statistic. Hospitals, psychologists, etc keep records of attempts. Women are far more likely to attempt suicide than men. Men are just more effective in their attempts, in large part due to their choice of method being more likely to be firearms which are the single most effective tool.

Disagreed, that is the beauty of being a man, sadness is peak, it leads to overthinking.
An emotional state where the person learns many life lessons to become better, slowly overcoming tougher and tougher goals.
I am grateful for the ♥♥♥♥ experiences where I was puking from anxiety.
It is your goal as a man to work for a better world even if you suffer.
Being man is more than just a genital area & hormones, it is a mindset.
Comfort is why nowadays we have so many spoiled manchildren who do little to no work.

Thank you for explaining why men's mental health is so stigmatized.
