Does everyone consider sci-fi to be more depressing or liberating? Fantasy i feel would be physically more challenging to live in, but mentally might be easier.
Choices open to the average citizen are very limited, remember you are not the hero.
With fantasy your only choice as the average citizen is backbreaking work.
I can deal with a more physically challenging conditions. I have been there, and got more than everyone I know from it, but the same can't be said about my mental health.. As that's where I have failed a lot..
