Works every time.
What you want to do is stretch it for a bit. So like someone else (again) said, inhale as much as you can and hold it for as long as you can but while you do it, lift your arms up to give that diaphragm even more of a stretch and hold them up . When you can no longer hold your breath, let it out slowly lowering your arms down to your sides.
if it's not gone at the first try, twice should do it.
Holding my breath and drinking water has used to work years ago, but after encountering it just a few weeks ago, it was hopeless.
Not only did it occur more than five times per a day, but I was unable to get it under control.
It was quite funny, but I wouldn't wanna repeat it.
Don't know what the match is for, but it seems to work.
Something with Sulphur? Interesting. I have never heard of that remedy before. Next time I have hiccups, I'll try it
You have to bend over, and put the rim of the glass so you're drinking with your upper lip.
So, either do it outside or over the open dishwasher or bathtub.
It works.
