Stay on the grind and keep the end goal in mind
"Pope Alexander VI said: "Every religion is good, but the best is the stupidest. He said what all the popes before and after him thought. Rome can only rule if the world is stupid, was written as an irrevocable principle in their souls, and that is why they sent out their apostles, who had to systematically dumb down humanity ..."

I hope this guy doesn't do speeches...
"The great Alexander's empire crumbled; that of the ancient Romans and that of Napoleon fell into ruins; they were built on the force of arms. But the empire of New Rome has existed for almost a thousand and a half years and will endure for who knows how long, because it rests on the most solid foundation - on the stupidity of men."

The aim of the ruling class is to stay where it is

The aim of the middle class is to overthrow the ruling class

The aim of the lower class is the creation of a society where all classes are equal

Alright, you asked for it...

"We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born.

The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Arabia. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton.

We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA so massively exceeds the set of actual people. In the teeth of these stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here.

We privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds, how dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred?"

Richard Dawkins

I was a big David Suzuki fan myself. Never liked Carl Sagan much.

David Suzuki was down to earth type guy... Carl Sagan always came off to me as aloof and in love with the sound of his own voice. Just annoying.

The bloody irony here is amazingly hilarious.

Any nerd who complains about those who quote and compare Carl Sagan with 'the words of jesus' has missed the plot when jesus doesn't exist in the first place... :steamhappy:

Time you gave the rest of us a break pal Lol.
